Isagro gets 1st EU OK for valiphenal
The Italian agrochemical company, Isagro (Milan), has gained its first EU member state approval for its fungicide, valiphenal, in Italy. The Isagro/Sumitomo Chemical Italian joint venture, Siapa (Milan), is to market a combination systemic fungicide, Valis F (valiphenal 6% + folpet 48%), as a granular formulation for use on grapevines against downy mildew ( Plasmopara viticola). Valis F is to be applied at 1.5-2 kg/ha up to three times a year. Siapa advises treatment at first appearance of disease at an interval of 10-14 days.
