Brazil has approved field trials of 11 genetically modified crops and an application for the export of GM soybeans. The national technical commission for biosafety, the CTNBio, gave the green light to four applications for field trials from DuPont, two each from Alellyx and BASF, one each from Bayer CropScience and Monsanto, and another from the Ministry of Agriculture’s agricultural research corporation, the Embrapa.
