Syngenta launches chlorantraniliprole combo in Argentina

Syngenta has launched a combination insecticide based on DuPont’s chlorantraniliprole in Argentina. Voliam Targo (chlorantraniliprole 4.5 g/litre + abamectin 1.5 g/litre) is a suspension concentrate for use on apples and pears against codling moths ( Cydia pomonella) and two-spotted spider mites ( Tetranychus urticae), and on pears against pear psyllids ( Psylla pyricola). It has high residual activity, allowing a 21-day application interval. Syngenta has a global licence from DuPont to use the active ingredient in combination products ( Agrow No 491, p 1).
