Brazil ai reassessment - correction:
Brazil has postponed the re-assessment of several pesticide active ingredients. The Ministry of Health's national health surveillance agency, the Anvisa, has not yet assessed: the acaricides, cyhexatin; the avermectin insecticide, abamectin; the organochlorine insecticide, endosulfan; and the organophosphate insecticide, phosmet. The agency was due to assess them last autumn, but did not do so. Agrow reported that these had been assessed (Agrow No 534, p 17). Due to various problems, these reassessments were not carried out as initially scheduled, the agency told Agrow. Only an internal survey of the reassessments has been made. The Anvisa will publish a new schedule later this month.
