Pakistan floods endanger health of millions of animals

Pakistan’s worst floods in recorded history, which have been wreaking havoc for more than three weeks now, have taken a heavy toll on the animals and livestock of the agriculture-driven country. Declared by the UN to be ‘worse than the Southeast Asia tsunami, the 2005 Pakistan earthquake and the Haiti earthquake’, the floods that began in the mountainous north-west have affected 20 million people and 160,000 square kilometers (61,776 miles) of land.
