Syngenta has received South Korean food and feed approval for its insect-resistant and herbicide-tolerant Agrisure 3122 corn variety, Agrow reports. It combines Syngenta’s MIR162 (Bt Vip3A toxin), Bt11 (Cry1Ab) and Dow AgroSciences/DuPont’s Herculex 1 (Cry1F) for above-ground pest control with MIR604 (mCry3A) and Herculex RW (Cry34Ab1 + Cry35Ab1) for corn rootworm ( Diabrotica spp) control. The line is also tolerant of glyphosate and glufosinate-ammonium herbicides. Import approvals have also been granted in Canada, Japan, Mexico, the Philippines and Taiwan.
