EU Submits GM Corn Crop 1507 for Approval

After many years of scientific evaluations and one favorable European Court of Justice (ECJ) ruling, Dupont Pioneer and Dow Chemical succeeded in having their genetically modified corn crop 1507 submitted for a vote of approval by EU member states. After a European General Court forced its hand, the European Commission agreed Nov. 6 to give EU member states a vote on what would be the second GM corn crop 1507 to be cultivated in the EU.
