Two egg producers have found themselves the recipient of FDA’s 19 th and 20 th warning letters for violating the agency’s regulations aimed at preventing Salmonella Enteritidis in henhouses. The first was sent in October 2010 to Quality Egg, better known as Wright County Egg, one of the two firms involved in the large SE outbreak that resulted in the recall of 550 billion eggs (see FCN Oct. 22, 2010, Page 9).
