Commission accused of abusing ‘negligible exposure’ waiver for pesticides

The Commission’s health and consumers directorate general (DG SANCO) is trying to misuse the ‘negligible exposure’ waiver clause in the plant protection products (PPP - 1107/2009) regulation to allow pesticides containing endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) to remain on the market unlawfully, according to Pesticides Action Network (PAN) Europe.
