Danish chewing gum test shows high amount of hormone-disrupting ingredients

The Danish Consumer Council Think (Forbrugerrådet Tænk) carried out a check of 150 types of chewing gum sold in Denmark for the two antioxidants BHA (E320) and BHT (E321), which have shown hormone-disrupting effects in animal studies. The group was not pleased with the results, which even showed that the worst offenders are chewing gums that are specifically marketed towards children.
