First UK prosecution brought in horsemeat investigation

The UK’s Food Standards Agency (FSA) has welcomed the conclusion of the first prosecution brought as a result of the investigation into the horsemeat scandal in 2013.  Southwark Crown Court in London fined one man, Peter Boddy,  £8,000 for failing to comply with food traceability regulations whilst a second man, David Moss, was given a four-months suspended prison sentence for falsifying an invoice.
