Spain under pressure over country-of-origin labelling of honey

A leading farmers’ group has accused Spain’s Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment (MAGRAMA) of relying on “false excuses” to explain its unwillingness to introduce obligatory 'country of origin' labels on all honey products in Spain. Spain is the largest honey producer in the EU, with 26,000 beekeepers and around 2.5 million beehives.
