First generation biofuels should continue to contribute up to 7% of final energy consumption in the EU transport sector up to 2030, and member states should decide their own contribution levels for biofuels and bioliquids, a draft opinion from the European Parliament’s Agriculture Committee (ComAgri) recommends.
