Cornucopia calls out NOP for bowing to lobbying pressure, reiterates call for new management

The Cornucopia Institute is accusing USDA’s National Organic Program (NOP) of bowing to pressure from organic and agribusiness lobbyists after the agency rejected guidance from its expert advisory panel, and instead left three conventional ingredients on the National List of substances allowed for use in organics for the next five years. New management is needed at the NOP, the group reiterated.
