Dwindling migrant workforce post-Brexit will hit food industry hard, UK told

Food and farming bodies have made clear today that Brexit could be seriously damaging for the food and drink industry if there are not enough migrant workers to support it. There are currently two million EU workers in the UK economy, with 20% of them being employed across the food and drink supply chain. Without this workforce, many UK businesses would become unviable, the government was told.
