Philadelphia’s 1.5-cents-per-ounce soda tax and its potentially negative impact on businesses have attracted the attention of the Philadelphia City Controller Alan Butkovitz, who announced Wednesday (Sept. 6) that he has initiated an economic impact study on the effects of the tax on local businesses.
