The Greek government is planning to introduce legislation requiring country-of-origin labelling (COOL) on milk following complaints from farming organisations that milk was being sold in the country as fresh when it actually came from abroad. The measure has angered the food industry that sees the spread of the COOL as a danger to the smooth functioning of the single market.
