Industry questions dual quality food claims

The food industry is questioning the validity of claims about so-called ‘dual quality foods’ whereby brands sold in Eastern Europe are supposedly of inferior quality to those in the West. FoodDrinkEurope Director General, Mella Frewen, welcomed the European Commission’s plans to develop a standard EU methodology to test for quality differences at the 13 October Bratislava Summit for equal quality of products for all.
