Sens. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) and Jon Tester (D-Mont.) said they "vehemently disagree" with USDA’s decision this week to abandon two of the Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration (GIPSA) rules, or so-called Farmer Fair Practices rules, in an Oct. 18 letter to Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue.
