Former Food Safety Committee MEP becomes a UK Brexit negotiator

A former member of the European Parliament’s Environment, Public Health and Food Safety Committee, Martin Callanan, was appointed one of the main UK Brexit negotiators on 27 October, as Minister for Exiting the EU. Callanan will serve under David Davis, Secretary of State for Exiting the EU, the UK’s chief Brexit negotiator, replacing Joyce Anelay, Baroness Anelay of St Johns, who has stepped down.
