OTA vows to see USDA in court this month after latest ‘walk back’ of organic rule

After USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) on Thursday (Nov. 9) again delayed the effective date of the Organic Livestock and Poultry Practices (OLPP) final rule – this time until May 14, 2018 – the agency has until mid-November to answer to a lawsuit filed in September by the Organic Trade Association (OTA) over its repeated delays in implementing the rule.
