Commission will set up sanctioning mechanism to realise CAP's environmental objectives

Under the future CAP delivery model, both cross-compliance and greening will be replaced by a mix of mandatory and voluntary environmental measures for farmers selected by the member states, which will be sanctioned by the European Commission if they do not reach the objectives set at the EU level.
