EU and Gates Foundation provide €500 million to support agricultural research

The European Union and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation have pledged to assign more than €500 million to agricultural research and innovation over the next three years (2018-2020), launching a major collaboration effort between the world’s largest development donor and the main private philanthropic organisation to combat climate change in developing countries.
