A draft resolution to veto a Commission delegated regulation lowering the EU migration limits for the controversial food contact material, bisphenol A (BPA), and extending coverage from just plastics to varnishes and coatings, is likely to be approved in an 11 January vote after gaining backing from the European People’s Party (EPP), Socialists and Democrats (S&D) and Alliance for Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE).
