Poland’s Finance Ministry to overhaul VAT system for food products

The Polish Ministry of Finance has unveiled plans to overhaul the country’s value-added tax (VAT) rate system for food products. Under the plan, the current excise duty-based model is to be replaced by a new system based on the EU’s Combined Nomenclature (CN) goods nomenclature, according to senior ministry officials.
