UK retailer to remove plastic from teabags by year end

The UK's Co-operative supermarket chain has said it will be removing the plastic seal from its teabags by the end of 2018 as the tide of public opinion turns against the use of plastic in food and drink products. Other producers of tea bags have been urged to follow suite.
