Polish parliament amends draft GMO bill

The Polish parliament has voted to amend the country’s draft GMO bill which is currently under legislative work by lawmakers from the Sejm, the parliament’s lower chamber. In a move to further restrict GMO farming, the new legislation modifies the penalties for persons who, by cultivating such organisms in Poland, cause harm for the life and health of humans and the environment.
