EU grants protected status for “Thym de Provence” after German concerns are allayed

The European Commission has included “Thym de Provence” in its list of protected geographical indications (PGIs) despite German concerns that the PGI could jeopardise the use of the term “Herbes de Provence”, which is used to describe a popular herb mixture.
