Commission still not ready for action on vegan labelling

Over six years after the Council and European Parliament adopted the food information to consumers regulation (FIC - 1169/2011) requiring the Commission to adopt an implementing act on vegan and vegetarian labelling, the EU executive is no closer to drafting a regulation, a spokesperson told IEG Policy in response to our questions.
