In its latest attack on plant-based foods, the National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF) says it supports FDA’s proposal to revoke the health claim for soy protein and coronary heart disease (CHD), which has “undoubtedly benefited” food manufacturers who seek to market soy-based products as milk, cheese or yogurt.
