Consumer group criticises plan for EFSA pre-submission meetings

The European Consumer Organisation (BEUC) has criticised a plan in the Commission’s 11 April proposal to revise the EU risk assessment procedure for the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) to hold pre-submission meetings with companies planning to file applications for regulated products such as additives or genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
