More than 60 House lawmakers are urging Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue to immediately withdraw USDA’s controversial proposed New Swine Inspection System (NSIS) rule, because they say the unlimited increase in swine slaughter line speeds would endanger worker safety, public health and animal welfare.
