Europol fake food crackdown leads to 749 arrests

Results from the latest international crackdown on food fraud, OPSON VII, that the European police agency Europol released on 25 April show 749 people were arrested or detained, and over 3,620 tonnes and 9.7 million litres of counterfeit or substandard food and drinks seized ranging from rotten meat to chemically coloured tuna and fake baby milk powder.
