EFSA issues opinion on codeine/morphine content of poppy seeds

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has issued an updated risk assessment on opium alkaloids in poppy seeds, confirming that the established safe level for both codeine and morphine is 10 μg/kg of body weight.
