SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH -- The three latest outbreaks linked to fresh produce are a reminder that while the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) is not fully implemented on all produce farms, “pathogens aren’t waiting for us,” said Stephen Ostroff, deputy commissioner of foods and veterinary medicine, at the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP) annual meeting Monday (July 9).
