EU sugar policy: Exports

EU rules require licences for the export of all sugar products. For cane or beet sugar and pure sucrose, a security of €11/100kg is required, for other sugars and sugar syrups a security of €4.2/100kg is required. The validity period is the month of issue of the licence plus three months. An export licence is not needed if the quantity is 2,000kg or less, unless it is for exports under preferential conditions or a tariff quota.
