USDA is planning to revive a rulemaking process to balance the power between meatpacking companies and contract growers, more widely known as the GIPSA rules. Meanwhile, the White House is said to be mulling putting restrictions on trading of biofuel credits – known as renewable identification numbers (RINs) – as part of a package of biofuel reforms and is also preparing to release a revised North American Free Trade Agreement with Mexico (NAFTA/USM) that does not include Canada.
