EFSA says no safety concerns with TOSOM despite key data missing

The European Food Safety Authority’s (EFSA’s) Panel on Food Additives and Flavourings (FAF) has concluded that there are no safety concerns with thermally oxidised soya bean oil interacted with mono‐ and diglycerides of fatty acids (TOSOM - E 479b) when used as a food additive, despite the lack of available data.
