No-deal Brexit could “reduce veterinary capacity for export certification”

The British Veterinary Association (BVA) claims that a no-deal Brexit will exacerbate current shortages in the veterinary profession, creating “risks for trade, animal health and welfare, and food safety”.

The British Veterinary Association (BVA) has said there will not be the veterinary capacity available to carry out food safety and welfare roles, in particular in relation to export certification, if the UK fails to strike a deal with the EU over Brexit.
