Chinese President Xi accepted a dinner invitation from President Donald Trump but the US and China do not yet appear on the cusp of a major deal to resolve trade tensions. Meanwhile, Iran said it plans to "sell its oil and break sanctions" imposed by the US, and the American Petroleum Institute (API) is pushing for approval of the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).
