An intense ballot battle in Oregon and Washington between soda tax advocates and the beverage industry has ended in a tie, as voters in Oregon on Tuesday (Nov. 6) chose to reject a proposed ban on local grocery and soda taxes, while their counterparts in Washington voted to adopt a similar statewide measure.
