No deal Brexit “must be avoided” says EU food industry, as key vote approaches

A vote on the Withdrawal Agreement looks unlikely to be passed at the scheduled vote on Tuesday mainly because of concerns over the Northern Ireland “backstop”. But time could be won if the UK requests an extension to July for the official leaving date.
