Irish and Finnish group wins EU grant to support Albania’s accession

A consortium led by the Irish food safety authority has won a €5m EU grant to support Albania as a candidate for accession to the European Union.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) is leading a group of organisations awarded €5m of EU money to help Albania accede to the EU by strengthening its food safety, veterinary and plant health standards, over the next four years.
