FDA and USDA are working “very closely” to develop the details of how they would jointly regulate the emerging field of cell-based products and should be releasing their plan “very soon,” said USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) Administrator Carmen Rottenberg on Friday (Feb. 22).
