The EU General Court’s March 7 ruling forcing the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) to publish studies that lay behind its favourable assessment of the controversial herbicide glyphosate, will lay the ground rules for the new transparency requirements that will be introduced after a revision of the general food law regulation is adopted this Spring, according to non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
