US rice industry still waiting for deals with China after rice trade protocol

Thirty-five U.S. rice mills have been cleared to ship product to China under a 2017 rice trade protocol but so far there’s been no takers, which may be due to high-level U.S./China negotiations, said Terry Harris, senior vice president of operations at Arkansas-based Riceland Foods Inc.
