Slimming food makers organisation, Specialised Nutrition Europe (SNE), is calling on the European Commission for a rethink before pushing ahead with plans to revise food categories under the 2008 additives regulation (1333/2008), which would mean artificial sweeteners no longer being authorized for diet meal replacements.
