Virtually all aspects of the processes of growing, rearing, manufacturing and distributing food rely on technological applications of various kinds to improve effectiveness and efficiency. Moreover, the rate of technological innovation is still accelerating, as internet-enabled ‘smart’ technologies transform the potential for improvements.
