Defra chief Michael Gove under pressure to ask Brussels for compensation over Brexit losses

Michael Gove, the minister in charge of the UK’s Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), is being put under pressure to seek compensation from the European Union to cover around £17 million already lost by Scottish beef farmers since the Brexit vote was taken.
