International bodies such as the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) need to undergo “drastic change” to be fit for purpose, Dr Davit Kirvalidze, one of three candidates for the post of FAO Director-General, has said. Kirvalidze advocates making more of the “mutually beneficial” relationship between the UN and the private sector.
